This course covers the History of the United States beginning with native societies up to current events. The basic methods used are lecture, reading, and writing. However, most units include films, videos, group activities, and presentations that reinforce the lessons taught. The activities are planned to allow students to take an active part in the learning process.

Supplies needed for the class are listed in the class syllabus. There is no textbook for the class as each student's notebook will become their textbook.
